The China International Digital Economy Expo, approved by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, is the only national-level expo with the name of digital economy. It is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the People’s Government of Hebei Province. It has been successfully held for three sessions. Over a hundred central government agencies, universities, and well-known domestic enterprises actively participate in the application process, resulting in the release of over 2,100 research achievements in the digital economy. Among them, there are nearly 730 achievements including the Digital Economy White Paper, Development Index, and Development Reports.

China International Digital Economy Expo 2023 is scheduled to be held in Zhengding, Hebei Province in September. We are now calling for outstanding achievements in the digital economy from both domestic and international sources. The specific details are as follows:

I、Solicitation Period

From April 15, 2023 to July 15, 2023.

II、Solicitation Categories

We will focus on selecting achievements in five categories (New Technology, New Products, New Models, New Scenarios and New Achievements), which can lead the future of the digital economy and represent the latest trends in digital technology, the most recent achievements in digital innovation, the brightest models and best scenarios of digital economy and real economy integration applications. 

1. New Technologies. The category includes fields like 5G/6G communication, satellite internet, industrial internet, Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, quantum technology, blockchain, big data and cloud computing, metaverse, digital twins, AR/VR, intelligent robots, and industrial software. The objective is to promote the development of new industries, enhance the innovation capacity of the digital economy, and solicit a group of new technologies in the digital economy with strong innovation, leading technology, and promising applications.

2. New Products. The category focuses on fields like new displays, modern communication, integrated circuits, intelligent equipment, intelligent robots, intelligent connected vehicles, new energy vehicles, aerospace information, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, big data, data security, digital low-carbon, new energy, and industrial software. The objective is to promote the development of digital industries and solicit a batch of technologically advanced and industrializable digital economy new products related to the industrial chain such as innovative hardware, software, and service products.

3. New Models. The category focuses on fields like industrial internet platforms, digitalization of manufacturing clusters, smart factories, personalized customization, networked collaboration, industrial chain collaboration, service-oriented manufacturing, cross-border e-commerce, data transactions, online education, digital health, online office, and digital governance. The objective is to promote the development of new models and new forms of business, drive consumption upgrading, and solicit a host of new models in the digital economy with strong innovation leadership, obvious application effects, significant driving impacts, and replicable and scalable features.

4. New Scenarios. The category focuses on fields like smart agriculture, intelligent manufacturing and industrial internet, smart energy, smart logistics, digital government affairs, smart cities, smart communities (parks), digital villages, digital life, digital education, intelligent transportation, digital culture, and digital ecology. The objective is to promote deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy, facilitate the digital transformation of the economy and society, and solicit an array of application new scenarios with high technical standards, complete solutions, relatively mature application models, and replicable and scalable features.

5. New Achievements. The category focuses on key areas of the digital economy, soliciting authoritative research reports, white papers, standards, development indices, top 100 lists in digital economy from both at home and abroad. The new achievements should highlight their authority, scientific nature, and guiding role. They shall extract the characteristics of development stages of digital economy, understand the trends of digital age, and support development decision-making.

III、Application Requirements

1. Applicants

Government and public institutions, domestic and foreign science and technology organizations, higher education institutions and research institutions, innovation teams, industry associations, associations, chambers of commerce in digital economy, industry alliances, leading enterprises, and individuals can all apply.

2.Application Method

Please log on to the official website of the China International Digital Economy Expo (https://www.cidee-zd.cn/) during the specified time period and submit the application materials. Each achievement can only be applied in one category, but the owner of the achievement can apply for multiple types of achievements. The online platform is the only channel for submitting achievement materials.

IV、Evaluation and Release

1.Achievements Evaluation

The evaluation of innovative achievements will be conducted by CIDEE Expert Committee following the principles of fairness, justice, authority, and objectivity. The committee will select the top ten new technologies, top ten new products, top ten new scenarios, top ten new models, and top ten new achievements for the year 2023.

2.Achievements Release

During the expo, the organizing committee will hold a dedicated session for the announcement and exhibition of innovative achievements. It will organize project roadshows for innovative achievements and leading technology talent teams, and present commemorative certificates and trophies.

Encouragement is given to support the transformation of innovative achievements into practical applications. Negotiations will be organized in a case-by-case manner (recommendations for connections with influential industry-leading companies and investment institutions) and regular tracking services will be provided.

V、Achievements Promotion

Selected achievements will be included in the Case Collection of China International Digital Economy Expo Innovative Achievements and will be promoted and showcased through the official website of the China International Digital Economy Expo, cooperative medias, and other relevant platforms. The owners of innovative achievements will be invited to present and showcase their achievements on-site, and the release activities will be globally live-streamed in real-time.

The owners of selected innovative achievements must accept the overall planning, unified brand authorization, and coordination management of the CIDEE organizing committee, and comply with the CIDEE regulations.
